PLEASE NOTE
(a) Members have to understand and know the risk while catching/handling reptiles or wild animals. Association shall not take any kind of responsibilities of any incidence/accident.
(b) Strict legal action/inquiry shall be carried out against the member who misuses his rights or those who do not follow his duties being a member.  

  1. ELIGIBILITY FOR BEING A MEMBER OF ANIMAL RESCUE SQUAD:

a)Any person above the age of 18 years with good character irrespective of sex, class, religion or creed shall be eligible for membership of the association.Those who yearly contribute a sum of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred fifty only) (The member will not reserve any right to ask for refund of money contributed by him, in case of the termination of his membership or on any ground or when he ceases to be member of his own accord or in any other case)
              PLEASE NOTE: - Only informer does not need to pay yearly fees of the Association.

 

b)Those who wants to take responsibility for saving wildlife and protect nature and wants to work with ARS for such concern.

 

 


 DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS ARE:
    • 1.
      To pay their yearly fees.
      2
      To strictly obey and follow all the rules of being a member.
      3
      To attend the meeting when they are asked for.
      4
      The member of the squad should know and understand that none of Wild animals, birds & reptiles which are protected under, The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972  be collected, kept, transported or exported without the relevant permits from the Forest Department.
      5
      The member shall strictly not deal with/use any items or any article, trophy or skin derived from any wild animals, birds or reptiles.    
      6
      Do not hunt/hurt any Wild animals, birds & reptiles protected under, The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
      7
      To protect wild animals, birds & reptiles and avoid them from being killed by the people.
      8
      To participate in all the important activities of the Association.

      Member should be well versed with all the relevant information & have the basic knowledge of identification and technique while handling reptiles or wild animals which is provided by the Association during demonstration, workshops or during actual rescue operations.
      10
      The member shall not harm the wild animals, birds & reptiles nor shall make use of them in any way to scare people.

      Member shall not attempt to hurt wild animals, birds & reptiles or remove the fangs or venom (Poison) from the snake. (Any member found dealing with such activities or helps any other person for such activities shall be liable for inquiry and Association shall take legal action against such member if found guilty.)

      Member shall not demand money or any other consideration for caring out rescue operation which is provided by him on behalf of or in relation of the squad from any person.

      The member shall wash there hands before handling any wild animal, birds or reptiles if they have contacted with any nicotine products (e.g. tobacco, cigarette & gutkha) as it may be harmful for such animals or snakes.

      Member should know that rescue operation is completed only after release of the wild animals, birds & reptiles which he has rescued.
      16
      Release operation must be completed within 48 hrs after rescuing any such wild animals, birds or reptiles. If release operation is not completed within 48 hrs, due to any reason or difficulty, member shall immediately inform about the reason to the Forest Department or A.R.S. Headquarter.

      Member must keep his good character and shall not misuse his post/membership and privileges of the squad.

      Member must strictly follow the safety rules.

      SAFETY RULES FOR THE MEMBERS
    • 1
      Don’t mix drinking (Alcohol) and rescuing, consumption of any alcohol product or any product which may affect the mental control/balance before/while rescue operation or any other work connected to management or any operation of the squad is strictly prohibited.

      Always use safety equipments while rescuing

      Member are strictly instructed that once any animal especially, snakes if rescued  and  is  once captured it shall in no case be removed from snake bag or any thing else even if demanded by any person present at the rescue site  
      4
      Don’t contact any bag containing any snake to your body while transporting or caring it.
      5
      Don’t keep any bags containing snakes in open places; keep them inside the safety box which is permitted by the Association.

      Always carry FIRST AID POUCH OR BOX that is recommended by the association along with you.     
                                                               
  1. EXPLUSION/ TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP AND PENALTIES

A member who does not pay his yearly fees, shall cease to be a member of the Association and shall forfeit all the rights towards respective privileges given by the Association. Any member once terminated shall not exercise any privileges, rights entrusted by ARS, if any person who do not follow above rule he/ she shall be liable for strict legal action.

Members shall be relived and shall be prohibited visiting the Headquarter of association in the following cases
a
If the member violets the Rules, Aims and Objectives or private regulation of Association incurring in the following penalties: warning, temporary suspension and Expulsion.
b
When he suffers from any contagious diseases.
c
The above penalties are to be referred within the powers of managing committee, and maybe commuted or repeated only by meeting of the general assembly convened specially for this purpose.

Any terminated member on any ground shall not exercise any privileges or carry any operation which was granted or permitted by the Association otherwise such person shall be liable for strict legal action through ARS Headquarter.
